This week we begin to see the shares start to bless us with June style abundance. Root crops are beginning with my favorite, red beets, & snap peas have entered the arena.
Another staple of our shares, Swiss Chard also makes its depute. Every week now, I am seeing the love of our labors in the fields become closer to the food on your table. The weather has produced a lush environment for the growth so far, and I am pleased with what I am seeing. Another product of our labors is coming to fruition, the farm now has a Blog site: http://sarverhillfarm.org, here we are posting news letter, scenes of the farm & you can send recipes & posts of your own. We have been a bit slow with our progress (mainly because I’m a farmer not a computer wiz), however Andre; one of the CSA volunteers, has been prodding me along and giving the technical support to get the job don. So check it out & let us know what you think. A reminder to those going on vacation, please get someone to pick up your share or we’ll donate it to the needy.
